Ryanair passenger Ljubiša Karović, who survived a cabin depressurization incident on July 10 on a flight from Thessaloniki to Memmingen, could receive multi-million compensation. Lawyer Vasileos Tsiaras, representing 36 affected passengers, is preparing a massive lawsuit that could amount to tens of millions of euros. During the flight, a window shattered, and the 61-year-old Karović was partially sucked out. His wife Svetlana and two other passengers held him and pulled him back in. Karović suffered burns, injuries to his arm, ear, and eye, as well as temporary paralysis. A preliminary NTSB report indicates that after takeoff, an engine fan blade detached, and debris pierced the fuselage and shattered the window. Bird remains were found in the engine, but the lawyer doubts that a bird strike could have caused such damage. The lawsuit will be filed against Ryanair, Boeing, and engine manufacturers. Previously, Ryanair management denied that the passenger was sucked out, but the lawyer relies on testimony from 70 witnesses.
