The two passengers, who were on their way to Sabu, got into a confrontation that quickly escalated into a physical brawl. According to the investigation, Kenneth Scott Lee, 54, a U.S. citizen, allegedly made racist remarks toward Noam Shimon Rosenberg, 37, and eyewitnesses said Lee mocked Rosenberg's Jewish faith. Rosenberg told investigators that he heard Lee say: 'Jews kill babies... Hitler was right, it's a pity Hitler didn't finish killing the Jews.' Following these words, according to suspicion, Rosenberg lunged at Lee, kicked his trolley suitcase, and hit him. During the confrontation, a marble table near a food stall was also damaged. Lee, for his part, claimed that it was actually Rosenberg who was the aggressor. Airport police quickly separated the two. Both passengers were taken to Pasay General Hospital for medical examination. The next day, August 7, the case was transferred to the prosecutor's office in Pasay City, where the two faced an investigation under Section 155 of the Philippine Penal Code.
