The IDF confirmed that one of the eight terrorists eliminated on Wednesday in the Nuseirat neighborhood of Gaza participated in holding many hostages in Hamas captivity throughout the war, and also took part in the "ceremony" for releasing the returnees and transferring them to the Red Cross as part of Operation "Heaven's Gates" in November 2023. The terrorist, who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre, also promoted terror plots against Israel. Israeli Air Force aircraft carried out two strikes that day—in Nuseirat and at a police station in Rimal. The IDF says the strikes targeted terrorists planning attacks, and that the eliminations were carried out according to the policy set by the political echelon, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Gaza reported 11 fatalities.
