Palestinian who snatched settler’s weapon was killed while unarmed, videos show

An analysis of four videos from the West Bank village of Tel shows that Farouk Ramadan, who seized a settler's weapon and opened fire, was shot dead while unarmed, contradicting Israel's official version. The incident on July 24 left two Israelis and four Palestinians dead.

On Friday, July 24, armed Israeli settlers entered the Palestinian village of Tel near Nablus. A scuffle broke out, during which Palestinian Farouk Ramadan seized a settler's rifle and opened fire. Israeli soldiers and settlers also fired. Two Israelis and four Palestinians were killed. Israeli officials labeled it a terror attack, but analysis of four videos by +972 and Local Call shows Ramadan was shot while unarmed, walking slowly toward soldiers before dropping to the ground. The army is investigating friendly fire as a possible cause of the soldier's death.
