Our safety net is disappearing: Former IDF intelligence chief warns of collapsing US support

Former IDF Intelligence Chief Tamir Hayman warned this morning at the ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth National Security Conference in partnership with INSS that Israel's safety net in the US is disappearing. According to him, American public opinion is becoming increasingly negative toward Israel, especially among young people. Hayman presented data: among Democrats under 50, 86% hold a negative view; among Republicans in the same age group, 56% are negative. Even among evangelical Christians, more than half are negative. Hayman warned of a "risky bet" on Marco Rubio, who has not yet won the primaries. He called for presenting a political vision that would restore Israel's status as a small, innovative, peace-seeking country, and to address the Palestinian issue. Hayman also addressed the Iranian threat, saying Israel will not tolerate crossing a certain line in nuclear development, and that authoritarian regimes eventually fall.
