Our forces destroyed more than ten underground tunnels in the Gaza Strip
The IDF announced that the 188th Brigade destroyed more than ten underground tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip, including a tunnel used to hold hostages. The forces located many weapons and established new axes and outposts as part of improving the defense concept in the area.
The IDF Spokesperson announced today (Thursday) that forces of the 188th Armored Brigade destroyed more than ten underground tunnels in the Gaza Strip, including a tunnel used to hold hostages by the terrorist organization Hamas. The operation took place in the southern Strip as part of a mission to defend and clear the Yellow Line area of terrorist infrastructure. During the operation, in cooperation with the Yahalom unit, the forces located many weapons: rocket launchers, rockets, grenades, explosive devices, and Kalashnikov rifles. Additionally, the forces established new axes and outposts to improve the defense concept in the area. The IDF stated that the forces are deployed in accordance with the ceasefire framework and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
