Oren Frank, founder of Talkspace and former co-CEO of McCann, passed away this morning at the age of 60 after a battle with cancer. His wife Roni eulogized him in a post, and it was noted that he leaves behind two daughters. Frank founded Talkspace in 2012, an online therapy platform that became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company went public in 2021 and was sold this year for $835 million to UHS.

Oren Frank, founder of Talkspace and former co-CEO of advertising agency McCann, passed away this morning at the age of 60. Frank had been battling cancer over the past year. His wife Roni wrote in a post: "He fought cancer the way he lived his life - with his characteristic elegance, with inspiring acceptance, without drama. Without victimhood." Frank, who had been living in the US in recent years, also leaves behind two daughters, Mia and Shelley. Frank first made his name as a creative director in the advertising industry, and later became co-CEO of McCann. In 2012, he left the advertising world to found the startup Talkspace together with his wife. The company developed an online therapy platform, which became especially popular during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the medical world was also forced to move to remote work. Talkspace went public in 2021 on Wall Street, and earlier this year was sold for $835 million to UHS, the largest healthcare provider in the US.
