The family of Nora Abu Adara, 42 and mother of six children, is demanding answers from Soroka Hospital after her death following a stillbirth at 34 weeks of pregnancy. According to the family, an alleged chain of failures led to her death. Nora arrived at the general emergency room around 11:30 PM with severe abdominal pain, but was transferred to the maternity ward only about four hours later, at 3:30 AM. During the wait, she received painkillers and a blood test was taken that was abnormal. In the maternity ward, severe internal bleeding and a liver tear were discovered. She underwent an emergency cesarean section to extract the dead fetus, but her condition deteriorated. Despite another surgery to stop the bleeding, she died the next morning. The family seeks to clarify why she was not immediately transferred to the maternity ward, whether the bleeding could have been identified earlier, and what happened with the blood tests. Soroka Hospital stated: "We share in the family's deep sorrow. The case was reported to the Ministry of Health and is under review."
