A new pilot by Gett is underway, offering a solution to a familiar problem for parents: ordering a taxi that includes a booster seat for children aged 3 and up. The move aims to allow parents to keep their children safe on the way to Ben Gurion Airport without having to lug a booster seat throughout the vacation. In the first phase, about 350 drivers will participate, and the service will begin in August in the Tel Aviv area, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. The booster seats are from Cybex, and drivers will undergo training. Israeli law does not require using a booster seat in a taxi, but safety organizations recommend it. If the pilot sees demand, Gett is considering expanding to other cities.
