OIC Warns of Escalating Crimes by Occupation and Settlers in the West Bank

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) warned of the danger of the escalating organized terrorism committed by extremist settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, including the siege and ongoing aggression for several days against the town of Qusra, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. In a press statement on Friday, the OIC General Secretariat stressed that this is an extension of the crimes of killing, settlement, annexation, and destruction of infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, as well as targeting camps and attempts to displace the Palestinian people, in a flagrant violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions. The General Secretariat renewed its call on the international community to take all possible diplomatic, legal, and economic measures to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop these systematic crimes, stressing the need to activate international justice mechanisms to hold perpetrators accountable under international criminal law. This warning comes at a time when the West Bank is witnessing an escalation in settler attacks, according to the statement.
