Ofer Tzvi Israeli, a protected mountain gazelle whose possession and hunting are prohibited, was located last night (between Saturday and Sunday) in the village of A-Ram in the Binyamin Brigade sector. The operation was carried out in cooperation with detectives from the Central Unit of the Coastal Border Police, Border Police officers in Judea and Samaria, and inspectors from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, following intelligence information. During a search in the village, the forces located the gazelle, which was handed over to Nature and Parks Authority inspectors and then transferred for further treatment at the Wildlife Hospital at the Ramat Gan Safari. A 48-year-old suspect, a resident of Kfar Akab, was detained and transferred for further investigation on suspicion of committing offenses of illegal trade, possession, and hunting of a protected natural asset. A case was opened against him in the police.
