Occupation forces three residents to demolish their own homes in Beit Jala

The Israeli occupation authorities forced three residents of Beit Jala in the Bethlehem governorate to demolish their homes with their own hands, to avoid paying hefty fines and demolition costs. The occupation forces also handed the Ramadan family in the village of Tel, southwest of Nablus, a notice to seize the home of the martyr Farouk Ramadan and evacuate it within 72 hours in preparation for its demolition.

Local sources reported that citizen Bassem Sayri demolished the home of his son Muhannad, which was under construction, in the Bir Aouna area, while citizen Mario Joudi Abu Saad demolished his inhabited home, and citizen Muhannad Barhoum demolished his home, after they were threatened with demolition and charged with the costs of the demolition operation. The occupation authorities force residents in Beit Jala and other areas of the Bethlehem governorate to demolish their homes themselves, under the pretext of lack of licensing, while refusing to grant Palestinians building permits, and the ongoing colonial expansion on their lands. In Nablus, the occupation forces handed the Ramadan family a notice to seize and demolish a home in the village of Tel, southwest of the city, where they stormed the village and raided the home of the martyr Farouk Ramadan, and handed his relatives a notice to seize the three-story home and evacuate it within 72 hours in preparation for its demolition.
