Occupation expands its aggression on Qalandia camp
The Israeli occupation forces escalated their military operations in the West Bank on Wednesday, launching a wide-scale aggression on Qalandia camp and Kafr Aqab town north of occupied Jerusalem, alongside raids, arrests, demolitions, and settler attacks. The forces brought in large reinforcements since dawn, raided dozens of homes and facilities, stormed the headquarters of the popular committee, and distributed threats. The aggression resulted in the arrest of about 15 Palestinians, including a woman, the injury of three, the forced evacuation of a family from its home, the prevention of dawn prayers in mosques, an attack on journalist Muhammad Samrin, and the arrest of Fatah leader Ghassan al-Khatib. Demolitions and raids were also intensified in several governorates, and the Jerusalem Governorate warned that the aggression aims to impose new facts and annex the West Bank.

The aggression resulted in the arrest of about 15 Palestinians, including a woman, and the injury of three others who were taken to hospital, in addition to other injuries from beatings and abuse. The forces forced one family to evacuate its home, prevented dawn prayers in the camp's mosques, attacked journalist Muhammad Samrin during his field coverage, arrested a number of citizens, including Fatah leader Ghassan al-Khatib, and a military vehicle ran over a young man near the camp. The forces intensified demolition and raid operations in the governorates of Bethlehem, Jenin, Hebron, Tulkarm, and Nablus, while settlers continued their attacks, including land leveling and uprooting olive trees. The Jerusalem Governorate warned that the aggression represents an extension of an Israeli policy targeting Palestinian camps and aims to impose new facts on the ground and consolidate military control within plans to annex the West Bank.
