Occupation demolishes two homes in Negev and Wadi Ara

Israeli occupation authorities demolished two homes in the towns of Laqiya in the Negev and Ara in Wadi Ara, one belonging to the al-Assad family and the other a three-story building belonging to a family from Jisr az-Zarqa, as part of a policy of tightening restrictions on Palestinian presence.

On Monday, July 27, 2026, Israeli occupation authorities carried out demolition operations targeting two homes in the towns of Laqiya in the Negev region and Ara in the Wadi Ara area, within the territories occupied in 1948. In Laqiya, a home belonging to the al-Assad family was demolished, while in Wadi Ara, another home consisting of three stories, belonging to a family from Jisr az-Zarqa and located between the villages of Ara and Kafr Qara, was demolished. The building had been constructed about ten years ago. These incursions are part of a series of demolition operations carried out by Israeli authorities in Palestinian towns inside the country, as part of a policy of tightening restrictions targeting the Palestinian presence in the region.
