The Israeli occupation army launched airstrikes, artillery shelling, and detonations in southern Lebanon on Friday, August 21, 2026. According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the Israeli Air Force targeted the town of Mansouri in the Tyre district with a series of raids overnight Thursday-Friday, accompanied by massive detonations whose echoes resonated in the area. Warplanes also broke the sound barrier over the skies of the city of Tyre. In the Bint Jbeil district, occupation forces carried out detonations in the towns of Hadatha and Tayri. Warplanes targeted the Ali al-Taher hill on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa and the area between Dabsha hill and Douha Kafr Rumman. On Friday morning, intermittent artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the town of Mayfadoun. No immediate information on casualties was reported. This aggression comes in the context of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2, which has resulted in over 4,000 martyrs and 12,000 wounded, despite the signing of a framework agreement on June 26 under American sponsorship stipulating a gradual Israeli withdrawal and the disarmament of factions.
