"Now he's in hell": Romi Gonen on the elimination of the terrorist who held her and Noa Marciano

The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated yesterday in the Gaza Strip Abd al-Rahim Abd al-Hayy Yusuf Kardi, a Hamas terrorist involved in holding Romi Gonen and Noa Marciano after her murder. Kardi, deputy head of a cell in the military wing, also served as a doctor at Shifa Hospital. In response, Romi Gonen wrote in a post that "this terrorist is in hell today" and that "justice was done with him."

The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated yesterday (Friday) in the Gaza Strip Abd al-Rahim Abd al-Hayy Yusuf Kardi, a Hamas terrorist involved in holding hostage Romi Gonen in the Gaza Brigade area and at Shifa Hospital, and in holding hostage Corporal Noa Marciano after her murder and until her body was recovered by the IDF. Kardi, deputy head of a cell in Hamas's military wing, also served as a doctor at Shifa Hospital. In response to the announcement of his elimination, Romi Gonen published a post in which she wrote: "This terrorist is in hell today, and I am here alive. His death doesn't erase anything - but unequivocally, justice was done with him. Until the last of them." The IDF also stated that Kardi continued to try to advance terror schemes against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, posed a threat to the forces, and was eliminated in an aerial strike. IDF forces under Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any threat.
