An associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a harsh attack against Likud ministers and Knesset members, following the approval of a controversial clause allowing incumbent Knesset members, ministers, and deputy ministers to also run in districts and reserved slots. The associate, himself a strong figure in the party, claims that many veteran candidates will lose to new candidates, and that MK Eti Atiya, for whom the clause was created, will not enter the Knesset. "Not sure the golden parachute they received from Haim Katz will help them," he said. Meanwhile, MK David Bitan attacked Chairman Haim Katz and Netanyahu, claiming they are harming the party through a political scheme. Bitan accused the ministers and Knesset members of fearing the Bibists and Netanyahu, and called on party members to use secret voting to express their opinion.
