In recent weeks, the IDF has increased strikes, and over the weekend it attacked 22 times, with about 28 killed according to Gaza reports. The Americans and the Peace Council pressured Israel to stop the targeted killings, and yesterday demanded explanations for the wave of assassinations and their immediate cessation. The directive passed to the IDF is that offensive activity in Gaza will be carried out only with the approval of the political echelon.
