Not just writing a comment: the new change TikTok is introducing to the app
TikTok is launching significant changes to its app, including the ability to record a voice comment of up to 60 seconds, polls in comments, and uploading up to nine photos in a single comment. At the same time, the platform is expanding its AI-based advertising tools with the Symphony system, TikTok Agentic Hub, and introducing Mini Series and Mini Games.
TikTok is transforming the comment experience on the platform with several major innovations. Users will be able to record a voice comment of up to 60 seconds using the microphone icon, a feature available to users aged 18 and over. Creators can add polls in comments with up to five voting options, with results updating in real time. Additionally, users can upload up to nine photos in a single comment instead of one, including Live Photos from the gallery. This move comes amid heavy activity in the comments section: according to TikTok, over 1.7 billion comments are posted on the platform daily. Meanwhile, TikTok is expanding its advertising tools with a focus on AI. The Symphony system will integrate the Dreamina Seedance video generation engine, allowing product images or text to be turned into various versions of campaign videos. The company is also introducing tools for automatically selecting the best-performing content in a campaign, identifying videos that creators have uploaded about brands and offering them for paid promotion, and analyzing actual profitability. The TikTok Agentic Hub centralizes AI tools for setting up, managing, and analyzing campaigns. Alongside this, TikTok is launching Mini Series and Mini Games. The features will roll out gradually during September 2026.
