Not Just Bombs: The Move That Could Decide Iran's Fate

Channel 14 commentator Tamir Morag said on Boaz Golan's show that the US naval blockade on Iran, led by Trump, may be more significant than continued airstrikes, as economic pressure is key to toppling the regime. Morag warned against expectations of a quick collapse and estimated the process would take six to nine months.

On Boaz Golan's show aired today (Sunday), Channel 14 commentator Tamir Morag addressed the ongoing campaign against Iran. Morag noted that although the US halted bombings in the last two nights after 13 consecutive nights of strikes, President Donald Trump is persistently maintaining the naval blockade on Iran. According to Morag, from Israel's perspective, this move is even more important than continued airstrikes, as the central assumption has been and remains that the key factor that could topple the Iranian regime is economic pressure, not just bombs. However, Morag emphasized that expectations should be managed and one should not expect the regime to collapse within a month or two, but rather prepare for a duration of six, and perhaps even eight to nine months from now.
