Internal messages from the field headquarters group of the 'Yashar!' party led by Gadi Eisenkot, obtained today (Tuesday) by Walla, reveal an internal storm following a video in which the party chairman was asked about his associates' ties to Qatar and the possibility of declaring it an enemy state. In response, the former chief of staff said his associates have no indictments, and added that Turkey also acts against Israel but Israel maintains economic ties with it. In the group, activists wondered whether the move was right and expressed concern about reputational damage. One wrote: "As it looks, this is a not-so-small blow to the wing." Others dismissed the claims, and a party chief of staff requested an "objective explanation." Another activist spoke of "frightened friends," and another called for maintaining "strong faith in the righteousness of the path." Later, a demand arose for a "clear and sharp" message regarding Qatar, mentioning lawyer Yossi Benkel. A chief of staff dealing with older voters claimed these were messages from "Bibists." It was suggested that campaign manager Ronen Menlis formulate a comprehensive response. One member noted that the issue has been running for "a week or more" without a decisive response. The Yashar! party said they chose not to comment.
