NIS 2.38 Million on the Way to MAX Customers: Are You Also Eligible?

The court approved a class action settlement against MAX, under which the company will allocate NIS 2.38 million to compensate customers who were charged card fees after the end of an exemption period without separate notice. The compensation will be NIS 15 per month of collection.

The Central District Court in Lod, presided over by Judge Yael Mushkowitz, approved on July 22, 2026, a class action settlement against MAX It Finance and MAX It Credit. Under the settlement, the company will allocate a total of NIS 2,384,450 to compensate customers who were charged card fees after the end of an exemption period, without separate and targeted notice. The lawsuit was filed in 2023 by a customer who held a Dream Card VIP, claiming the company charged her a monthly fee without sending a dedicated notice. The compensation will be NIS 15 per month of collection, until cancellation or reinstatement of the exemption. About half of the relevant customers are expected to receive direct compensation. The remaining funds will be transferred to the Class Action Fund. The court rejected a request for active identification of past customers due to high costs. The class representative will receive a reward of NIS 50,930, and the attorneys will receive fees of NIS 458,370.
