In videos circulating online, the blogger, naked and holding a knife, can be seen cutting himself. Police confirmed he was home alone and worked to de-escalate the situation. The stream was removed but sparked a wave of reactions on social media. The blogger was found in a safe condition and taken to the hospital. The next day, a statement appeared on his website confirming he is receiving treatment, and his family asked for privacy. Perez Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., is known for his celebrity blog, which he started in 2004. Earlier this year, he reported health issues that kept him in the hospital for several weeks, and in May he spoke about significant medical expenses.
