New supermarket chain in Israel — dozens of branches ahead
Tiv Taam chain opened a new branch in Rishon LeZion and announced the launch of the 'Shop & Shop' format inside ten of its largest stores. The investment in the opening amounted to about 6 million shekels.
The Tiv Taam supermarket chain is expanding its presence in Israel. The company opened a new branch in the western part of Rishon LeZion, in the Protea complex. The investment in the project amounted to about 6 million shekels. The opening ceremony was attended by top management and municipal representatives. Group CEO Hagai Shalom called the location strategically important — near the beach and recreation areas. At the same time, Shalom announced for the first time the launch of a new format within the chain: 'Shop & Shop' departments of the Mizrahi Ve Ma'arb brand will appear in ten of the largest Tiv Taam branches, and then will be extended to the remaining stores. The format involves placing departments in the checkout areas, which, according to Shalom, will become a 'branch within a branch'.
