A new collective agreement has been signed for workers at the Strauss dairy in the north, covering about 300 employees for four years. The agreement includes a 4% annual wage increase, a signing bonus of 1,000 shekels, subsidized couple's vacations, an annual payment of 35,000 shekels to the workers' committee fund for welfare activities, and wage corrections for dozens of workers. The agreement was signed between the Histadrut, the company management, and the workers' committee.
A new collective agreement has been signed for workers at the Strauss dairy in the north of the country. The agreement was signed between representatives of the Histadrut in the Western Galilee region, the company management, and the workers' committee, and is valid for four years. It will apply to about 300 dairy workers. The agreement includes 4% wage increases for each year of the agreement period, subsidized couple's vacations, a signing bonus of 1,000 shekels, an annual payment of 35,000 shekels to the workers' committee fund for welfare activities, and wage corrections for dozens of workers in coordination with the workers' representation. The negotiations, led by the chairman of the Western Galilee region in the Histadrut, Asher Shmueli, and the chairwoman of Na'amat in the region, Ofra Elkayam Cohen, included the participation of the regional professional union secretary, Adv. Eden Asban; the committee chairman, David Ben Abu; and committee members Ofra Ram, Meir Maman, Jad Shakur, and Israel David. On behalf of Strauss, the plant manager Avshalom Bechar, HR manager Ronit Longo, and CFO Rafael Thier participated. The chairman of the Western Galilee region, Asher Shmueli, said: "Well done on another excellent agreement that benefits the workers at the Strauss plant. Even in this complex period, we managed to achieve excellent results for the workers." The agreement is expected to improve the working conditions and wages of the dairy workers.
