In an interview with 103FM, Zoher Bahalul, a former Arab-Israeli media personality and politician, praised MK Yoav Segalovich's joining the Ra'am party, calling it "one of the most brilliant moves" that may prove to be so within the 80 days until the elections. Bahalul argued that the integration of Arabs and Jews in joint politics is necessary, since "no one gives legitimacy to the pure Arab voice," and that Arabs and Jews live in one country, with 21% Arabs. He emphasized the desire of Arabs to integrate and strive for equality, and called for moderating discourse and tolerance. Bahalul recalled that in 1948 the communists supported the establishment of the State of Israel, and noted that Mansour Abbas no longer relies on the Shura Council. He expressed hope that at the end of the integration process, Arabs will serve in civil service and not be outside this path. According to him, the Arab parties are willing to integrate into Israeli politics, which will lead to a future coalition that will cause "whoever is responsible for all the catastrophes and the apocalypse... to disappear."
