Netanyahu on the Brink of Total Failure - New Poll
A new poll reported by Channel 12 shows that support for Benjamin Netanyahu as a candidate for prime minister has dropped to 31%, down 6 percentage points from a month ago (37%). 56% of respondents prefer a candidate not associated with Netanyahu. The gap with the 'Anyone but Bibi' camp is 25 points. The poll also revealed preferences for government formation and the influence of ethnic background and ideological positioning of parties on voters' choices.
According to a new poll published by Channel 12, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reached his lowest support level in recent months as a candidate for head of government. 31% of respondents prefer Netanyahu, while 56% prefer a candidate not associated with him. This is 6 percentage points less than less than a month ago, when support was 37%. The gap between Netanyahu and supporters of the 'Anyone but Bibi' camp is 25 percentage points. When asked about the preferred course of action if neither bloc gets 61 mandates (excluding Arab parties), 23% chose the creation of a change government with Arab parties abstaining, 22% chose a national unity government with Likud led by Netanyahu, 21% chose a coalition with Likud but without the prime minister, and another 21% chose holding new elections. The poll also showed that the ethnic background of a party leader does not influence the choice of 79% of respondents, and the positioning of a party as right or left influences the choice of 64% of voters. Earlier, 'Kursor' reported that Naftali Bennett continues to outpace Netanyahu in terms of suitability for the position of prime minister.
