A new YouGov poll reveals that nearly half of Britons, 47%, now favor fewer or no Israeli immigrants to the UK, marking an eight-point increase from 39% in 2016. The poll, titled 'Britons have a more negative view of immigration in 2026 than in 2016', surveyed attitudes toward immigration from various countries. Among respondents, 23% wanted less immigration from Israel, and 24% wanted none. The survey also examined changes in views among Remain and Leave voters since the Brexit referendum. Remain voters' negativity toward Israeli migrants increased from 27% in 2016 to 41% in 2026, while Leave voters remained steady at 52%. By political party, Reform UK and Green voters showed the highest negativity at 52-53%, Labour and Conservative voters in the mid-to-high 40s, and Liberal Democrats at 41%. Overall, Russia had the highest opposition to immigration at 58%, followed by Pakistan, Nigeria, Israel, Egypt, India, and Turkey.
