NATO already has its eye on it: Elbit's new system that will change the rules of the game
Elbit Systems will unveil the THMS system at a weapons exhibition in Denmark, a mobile platform for battlefield networking. Developed in Sweden, it deploys in under five minutes, features a telescopic mast up to 25 meters, and supports payloads up to 100 kg. It operates independently for up to 24 hours and integrates communications, sensors, and electronic warfare capabilities.
Elbit Systems will unveil the THMS system at a weapons exhibition in Denmark, a new mobile platform for battlefield networking. The system, developed and manufactured in Sweden relying on a European supply chain, is designed to support digital and decentralized ground forces. It operates as a forward node for communication and sensing, extending connectivity both in direct line of sight and beyond. The system features a telescopic mast reaching up to 25 meters in height and supporting payloads weighing up to 100 kg. THMS supports the integration of payloads such as tactical communications, electronic warfare, electro-optical and infrared sensors, satellite communications, tactical 5G technologies, and high-power laser capabilities. The system operates as an independent unit with integrated power generation, enabling autonomous operation for up to 24 hours. The automatic mast deployment mechanism allows setup in under five minutes. Elbit says the system is designed to address the requirements of modern ground operations, where reliance on fixed infrastructure can limit flexibility and survivability.
