Police arrested today (Sunday) four residents of Ba'ana, aged 22, 28, 28, and 45, on suspicion of involvement in the murder of Wafaa Dar'an, who was shot dead inside her car in the town of Ba'ana in front of her young children. Among those arrested are a mother and her son. The arrests were made after a covert investigation that lasted several months and became overt this morning. The murder occurred on January 10 in the morning hours, when Dar'an was driving in her car with her children, and then gunfire was directed at her. As a result of the shooting, she was critically wounded and her death was determined at the scene. Large forces from the Northern District were dispatched to the scene, and the murder investigation was assigned to the Central Unit of the Galilee Subdistrict. The four suspects were transferred for questioning at the offices of the Galilee YMR (Central Unit), and at the end of their questioning, they are expected to be brought before the court, where the police will request an extension of their remand. The police stated that the murder investigation is ongoing and that solving murders and thwarting serious crime are at the top of the Northern District's priorities.
