A lawyer was murdered today in his office in Rishon LeZion. The suspect, who arrived at the office around 4:00 PM, confessed to officers of the Lahish District Police that he shot him. According to him, he came to talk to the lawyer about a debt of 15,000 shekels owed to him: "For three years I've been chasing him to get the money and he ignored me. I came to him and he refused to talk. I took out the gun, which had five bullets, and shot him." The victim's partner, who reported to police and MDA, recounted in the investigation: "I heard small explosions, I didn't think it was gunfire." He found his friend "lying under the table, covered in blood." Security cameras documented the suspect arriving calmly, heading to the office, and minutes later creating a "horror drama." The suspect fled to fields between Ashdod and Ashkelon, where he discarded the gun, and then surrendered and promised to help locate the weapon.
