Murder in Netivot: Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with Incident

Police arrested a 40-year-old Netivot resident suspected of involvement in the murder that occurred last night in the city. Upon receiving the report, many police forces from the Negev District were dispatched, who collected evidence at the scene and conducted intelligence and investigative operations. Following a situational assessment by the Southern District Commander, Superintendent Haim Bubil, the murder investigation was assigned to the Central Unit of the Negev District. The suspect was transferred for further investigation to the YMR (Central Unit) and will be brought today to the Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court for a remand hearing. Last night, a man in his 30s was killed as a result of gunfire in a violent incident in the city. A senior medic from MDA's motorcycle unit, Uriel Cohen, said that the wounded man was lying in a parking lot unconscious, without pulse and breathing, and that advanced resuscitation was performed, but the injury was fatal.
