Murder in Kseifa: Two Suspects Arrested, More Arrests Expected

Two suspects in their 20s and 30s were arrested overnight on suspicion of involvement in the murder in Kseifa. The background to the incident is a criminal conflict between two factions of the same family. Police expect additional arrests.

Two suspects in their 20s and 30s were arrested overnight (between Thursday and Friday) on suspicion of involvement in the murder that occurred in Kseifa. During the operation, a vehicle was also seized that, according to suspicion, was used by those involved in the incident. The police opened an investigation following a shooting incident in which two men in their 20s and 30s were wounded. One of them was seriously wounded and the other lightly, and later the seriously wounded man was pronounced dead at Soroka Hospital. Officers of the Rotem District collected evidence at the scene and carried out intelligence and investigative operations to locate those involved. After a situation assessment conducted by the Southern District Commander, Superintendent Haim Boblil, the murder investigation was assigned to the Central Unit of the district. The suspects, residents of the Bedouin diaspora, were arrested by Rotem YMR officers in cooperation with officers from the Aroer and Ayarot stations, fighters from the SAHR unit, Yoav, and Magav. From the initial investigation, it emerges that the background to the incident is a criminal conflict between two factions of the same family. The two were transferred for further investigation at YMR, and later they are expected to appear at the Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court, where the police will request an extension of their detention. The investigation is ongoing, and the police stated that additional arrests are expected.
