Moshe Kahlon considers joining Gadi Eisenkot's party

Political commentator Yaakov Bardugo revealed on the program "Sheva" that former Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon is considering joining the "Yashar!" party of former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot. Kahlon, recently convicted of a reporting offense under the Securities Law, is seeking a new political home and is being courted by Naftali Bennett and Gilad Erdan.

Political commentator Yaakov Bardugo revealed this evening (Tuesday) on the program "Sheva" on Channel 14 that former Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon is considering joining the "Yashar!" party of former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot. Bardugo quoted Kahlon as saying in a podcast that he would join Eisenkot's party. Kahlon, who was recently convicted of a reporting offense under the Securities Law in the "Yount Credit" affair and sentenced to probation and a fine, is seeking a new political home. He is also being courted by Naftali Bennett, who met with him last September, and by Gilad Erdan, with whom he explored the possibility of establishing a new right-wing party. Kahlon has told associates that he is "a Likudnik and remains a Likudnik." The move comes against the backdrop of the recruitment race of left-wing parties ahead of the 2026 elections.
