MK Amit Halevi: 'Turkey and Iran want to topple the right-wing government'

MK Amit Halevi from Likud was interviewed today (Tuesday) on 103fm and addressed several burning political issues. Halevi praised the Likud primaries, calling them 'a model of Israeli democracy,' and sharply attacked other parties, claiming most are 'a one-man dictatorship.' Regarding the slots requested by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Halevi said that Likud members authorized Netanyahu to make slots due to the current circumstances, in order to add candidates representing the movement's values and refresh the list. However, some party members criticized the unusual scope of the slots. Later in the interview, Halevi claimed that Turkey, Iran, and other yet-unrevealed factors are working to topple the right-wing government in Israel. His remarks come amid internal Likud controversy over the method of selecting the Knesset list, after the Constitution Committee approved a compromise outline including primaries alongside eight slots for Netanyahu.
