Miriam Adelson in a program for integration into high-tech: "I want to see Druze female soldiers and female pilots"
Dr. Miriam Adelson participated in the inauguration of a first-of-its-kind program to integrate young people from the Druze community into high-tech, held in Usfiya. The program is named after Lt. Col. Mahmoud Khair al-Din, who was killed in a covert operation in Gaza in 2018. Adelson called for the integration of Druze women into the IDF and high-tech, saying, "I want to see Druze female soldiers and female pilots." The event was also attended by the Khair al-Din family and entrepreneur Koptan Halabi.

The program was initiated by Koptan Halabi, a recipient of the President's Award. According to the initiators, only about 500 members of the Druze community work in high-tech out of approximately 150,000 workers in the industry in Israel.
