Ministry of Endowments condemns destruction of Al-Muttaqin Mosque in Gaza, holds occupation responsible
The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs condemned the Israeli occupation's destruction of the Al-Muttaqin Mosque in Gaza, considering it a continuation of the systematic targeting of places of worship. It stated that the number of completely destroyed mosques has reached 1,049 since the start of the aggression, and called on the international community to intervene.
The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs condemned on Tuesday the destruction of the Al-Muttaqin Mosque in the Yarmouk area of central Gaza City by Israeli occupation forces. The ministry considered this a continuation of the systematic policy of targeting places of worship and violating their sanctity, as part of the ongoing genocide war against the Palestinian people. It clarified that the destruction of this mosque raises the number of completely destroyed mosques since the beginning of the aggression to 1,049, with 210 mosques partially destroyed. The ministry held the occupation fully responsible and called on the international community and human rights organizations to take urgent action to stop the targeting of places of worship and hold those responsible accountable. It emphasized that mosques will remain beacons of the Quran, faith, and steadfastness.
