Message to Israeli Officials: Iran Seeks Revenge, Take Precautions

The Shin Bet has increased security for Israeli figures and instructed them to break routines and take precautionary measures. The US is also taking extra precautions: on July 9, the New York Times reported that the Secret Service recommended that President Trump fly from Turkey on the old Air Force One rather than the new one that was refurbished and donated by Qatar. Later, the Wall Street Journal reported that the plane swap occurred after senior American officials received intelligence from Israel about a possible plot to assassinate Trump. On July 25, the Times reported that the sudden change was due to a "credible threat" from "Iranian proxy forces." CBS reported that the US identified a real plot to fire a missile at the plane.
