Meir Malka Elected to Second Term as Chairman of the Engineers Union

Meir Malka was unanimously elected to a second term as chairman of the Engineers Union, representing 22,000 engineers. Histadrut chairman Arnon Bar-David congratulated him and emphasized the importance of engineers for the country's future. Malka reviewed achievements, including an agreement in higher education institutions, and pledged to continue strengthening the status of engineers.

Meir Malka was unanimously elected to a second term as chairman of the Engineers Union in elections held at the organization's conference with the participation of 242 delegates. Malka will continue to lead an organization representing about 22,000 engineers in industry, academia, and the public service. Histadrut chairman Arnon Bar-David, who attended the conference, congratulated Malka and said, "The future depends on our ability to turn ideas into reality, and that is the power of engineers." Malka reviewed the organization's achievements, including a significant agreement in higher education institutions to improve engineers' conditions, and the expansion of professional activities. He pledged to continue promoting collective agreements and strengthening the status of engineers. Additionally, Guy Sha'ash was elected as acting chairman of the Engineers Union. Minister Haim Katz also congratulated Malka. The organization represents engineers in the aerospace industry, military industries, government ministries, the IDF, higher education institutions, local authorities, and companies.
