Media: Likud sold real estate to associates with huge discounts

An investigation by Calcalist found that the Likud party, as part of a financial recovery program, sold four properties to its activists and associates at prices significantly below market value. Among the buyers were members of the central committee, relatives of functionaries, and individuals connected to the party leadership. In particular, a historic branch in Bnei Brak with an area of 120 square meters was sold to a group of investors including Zvi Fishbach, an influential activist, and attorney Dovi Shertzer, who has been involved in cases against Netanyahu. Appraisers estimated the discount at hundreds of thousands of shekels. An apartment in Jaffa was sold to a central committee member and his relatives at a discount of tens of percent. Likud claims that the properties were sold to the highest bidder, but Calcalist found no evidence of open bidding. The sales were signed by Sharon Dertava, a former advisor to Netanyahu. The party's debts to the Knesset amount to about 16 million shekels.
