Matf employees escalate sanctions: 'The struggle will only intensify'

The workers' committee of Matf, a computing company in the International Bank group, announced today (Tuesday) a further escalation of sanctions, amid the deadlock in collective bargaining that has been ongoing for more than eight months. Workers and the committee protest management's conduct and unilateral steps, including reducing the number of work-from-home days and outsourcing work. Over the past weekend, dozens of workers demonstrated near the home of Tzadik Bino, one of the bank's owners. As part of the escalation, the committee announced a halt to handling service requests and malfunctions until Sunday at 7:30 AM, stopping workers' email access after 5 PM, and freezing certain operations in the Git system around the clock. Committee chair Dudu Dahan said: 'The struggle will only intensify. We will not give up until management understands that it cannot continue to ignore workers and take unilateral steps. The workers are united and determined, and if there is no real change in negotiations, we will continue to escalate measures. Whoever counts on us getting tired or folding is mistaken.'
