Matan Chodorov, a journalist and economic commentator for Channel 13 News, has filed a lawsuit for 277,336.96 NIS against Sagiv Cohen Yaron, a resident of Harish and a fitness trainer, alleging a campaign of sexual harassment and defamation on the social media platform X, based on his sexual orientation. The lawsuit, filed under the Law for Prevention of Sexual Harassment, details 12 posts between April 2023 and June 2026, including blatant homophobic expressions. Chodorov, who came out as gay in 2015, demands the removal of the posts and compensation without proof of damage. He notes that he is accustomed to public criticism, but these posts go beyond legitimate discourse. Recently, he concluded a similar lawsuit against Yael Adani with a settlement. No statement of defense has been filed yet.
