Mass brawl in Rahat: 24 suspects arrested, two police officers injured by stone-throwing

Police officers from the Southern District and National Guard fighters of the Border Police arrested 24 suspects in Rahat today (Saturday) following a mass brawl between different factions in the city. The suspects were transferred for questioning at the local police station. During the police operation, stones were thrown at the forces, and as a result, two police officers were injured and required medical treatment. The arrests were carried out as part of a broad police operation against shooting incidents, illegal possession of weapons, and crime generators in the city, aiming to thwart criminal activity that harms public safety. According to the police, the operation focuses on violent and bloody conflicts between different factions, which lead to violent incidents and harm to human life, and is intended to prevent escalation and harm crime generators. Alongside police forces from the Rahat station and National Guard fighters from the Border Police South, fighters from the Sahr and Yoav units also participated in the operation.
