The Shin Bet and the Judea and Samaria District Police prevented a major terror attack that terrorists planned to carry out during the holidays. During the operation, about 12 suspects were arrested, and various types of weapons and ammunition were seized. According to the investigation, the detainees were establishing terrorist infrastructure and preparing a series of large-scale attacks in different areas of the country. Security forces believe their arrest prevented a large-scale attack with many casualties. Most details of the investigation are still prohibited from disclosure. Earlier, it was reported that a large terrorist network operating in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria was uncovered, in which more than 30 suspects were arrested, five of whom have already been indicted. Network members began forming armed cells in early 2026 and planned to start attacks in early 2027.
