Mandate Poll: Netanyahu Above Eisenkot - and What's Happening in the Blocs?

A new mandate poll by 'Hayom' and the Kantar Institute, a month before the submission of lists, shows Netanyahu (23) above Eisenkot (22). Hendel and Tropper barely pass the electoral threshold with four mandates, and the change bloc approaches 61 mandates but still needs Mansour Abbas (6). A 'third bloc' scenario of Gantz, Tropper, Hendel, and Erdan could be worth eight mandates.

A new mandate poll by 'Hayom' and the Kantar Institute, conducted among 552 men and women aged 18 and over, including the Arab sector, indicates the political picture a month before the submission of lists for the 26th Knesset. Likud is stable at 23 mandates, while Yashar of Gadi Eisenkot stands at 22, so Netanyahu leads Eisenkot. Yoaz Hendel and Chili Tropper, after aggressive marketing moves, barely stand at four mandates, subtracting one mandate from Yashar. The change bloc approaches 61 mandates, but still requires a completion of three mandates from Mansour Abbas, who climbs to a peak of six mandates. A 'third bloc' scenario including Gantz, Tropper, Hendel, and Erdan could be worth eight mandates, but such a union ran aground due to the leadership issue and substantive issues. The other parties are stable: Bennett and Lapid's Together at 13, the Democrats with ten, Yisrael Beiteinu at nine, Smotrich with four, Ben Gvir with nine, United Torah Judaism with eight, and Shas with seven. 61 percent of opposition voters want an agreed candidate for prime minister.
