Mandate Poll: Eisenkot Surges, Netanyahu Bloc Crashes

A News 13 poll published in Ma'ariv indicates Gadi Eisenkot leading with 23 mandates, compared to 21 for Likud. In the prime ministerial suitability match-up, Eisenkot leads Netanyahu with 47% versus 34%. The opposition bloc, including Tropper and Hendel, reaches 60 mandates. Bennett's 'Together' party gets 12 mandates, 'The Democrats' 11, Yisrael Beiteinu 10, United Torah Judaism and Otzma Yehudit 8 each, and Shas 7. Among coalition supporters, Netanyahu gets 90% support on the suitability question, while among the rest of the public, Eisenkot leads with 71%. The poll also tested unity scenarios: if Tropper joins Eisenkot, the united list gets only 22 mandates, one less than when the party runs alone. In this scenario, the opposition bloc stands at 57 mandates, the coalition at 49, and the Arab parties at 14.
