Man who assaulted woman on Nahalat Binyamin Street documented and arrested for investigation

Police arrested this morning (Wednesday) a resident of southern Israel in his 30s on suspicion of assaulting a woman on Nahalat Binyamin Street in Jaffa. The arrest was made after a video documenting the attack, which occurred this morning, was shared on social media. The investigation began upon receiving the report of the assault and the distribution of the footage. Following the video, extensive searches were launched in the area. The suspect was located in a joint operation by officers from the Jaffa police station and inspectors from the Tel Aviv Municipality's Security and Enforcement Division, and was transferred for questioning at the police station. Police stated that they intend to bring the suspect to a court hearing to request an extension of his remand, in accordance with the initial findings of the investigation.
