Man killed in road accident overnight; ZAKA: 6 road fatalities since start of week

A man about 50 years old was killed overnight in a collision between a truck and a private car on Highway 80 in the Negev, near Tel Arad. Two others were injured, one seriously and one moderately, and were evacuated to Soroka. ZAKA reports six road fatalities since the start of the week, including two women killed yesterday in Ashkelon when hit by a bus.

MDA teams arriving at the scene found the driver trapped in the vehicle without a pulse or breathing, and pronounced him dead at the scene. Two additional injured, one in serious condition and one moderate, were evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva. The road was blocked to traffic for a short time. ZAKA personnel treated the deceased and collected findings at the scene. ZAKA reported that since the start of the week, six people have been killed in road accidents, including two women killed yesterday when hit by a bus in Ashkelon. Police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
