The investigation was opened following information about the elderly man's prolonged disappearance, born in 1936. Investigators summoned the son for questioning, and he initially claimed his father had moved to Athens. However, his sister, who lives in the Greek capital, reported she had not seen her father for years. Following the inconsistencies, a search of the hotel was conducted, during which the body was found. During the search, an air pistol was also seized. The suspect faces charges of perjury, ongoing fraud, and weapons law violations. He is expected to be brought before a prosecutor, while the crime unit of Sparta continues the investigation.
