Man, 35, killed in collision between minibus and private car; 9 injured
A 35-year-old man was killed today in a road accident between a minibus and a private car on Highway 98 near Afik Junction. Nine injured people were evacuated to the North Medical Center (Poriya), including a 30-year-old in moderate condition. In another accident on Highway 77 near Yishai Interchange, 13 people were injured, including children aged five and seven.
A man, about 35, was killed today (Sunday) in a road accident between a minibus and a private car on Highway 98 near Afik Junction. Medics and paramedics of Magen David Adom evacuated nine injured people to the North Medical Center (Poriya), including a 30-year-old in moderate condition with limb injuries and eight others in mild condition. MDA paramedic Tal Tabachnik and MDA medics Shlomi Bokser and Gadi Eli said it was a severe road accident between two private vehicles; inside one of the crushed vehicles they saw a man in his 30s unconscious, without pulse and without breathing, with very severe injuries to his body. They performed medical checks, but his injuries were significant, and there was no choice but to determine his death. Meanwhile, they provided advanced medical care to nine additional injured people who were moderately and mildly wounded and evacuated them to the hospital in stable condition. In a road accident between four private vehicles on Highway 77 near Yishai Interchange, 13 people were injured. Four in moderate condition were evacuated to Rambam and Bnei Zion hospitals: two 5-year-old girls with limb injuries, a 7-year-old with facial injury, a 34-year-old with limb injuries, and nine additional injured in mild condition.
